Maguire’s Building

Our namesake.

We acquired this building in a dilapidated and earthquake prone state. Within 15 months we gained all consents, strengthened to 80% NBS and converted the building into three high-quality ground floor retail units, three high quality office suites and four luxury character apartments.

The strengthening involved façade bolting, structural steel, diaphragm upgrades, sprayed concrete shear walls, and retrofitting of vertical cored reinforcing into masonry walls.

The project was featured in the Autumn 2019 edition of Heritage New Zealand magazine.
